PackTrack

I designed a full brand kit and supporting materials for PackTrack, a conceptual outdoor mapping service for adventure enthusiasts. The goal was to create a visual identity that felt clean, simple, and deeply connected to the outdoor experience. As an outdoor enthusiast myself, I wanted the branding to resonate authentically with people who seek adventure.

I began by exploring the brand’s intended personality: geometric, minimal, and grounded in nature. I imagined the feeling of reaching a mountain summit at sunset after a long, challenging hike. To capture that atmosphere, I used the color dropper tool on a photo of a real sunset, building a palette that felt both organic and fresh.

For the logo, I sketched several concepts and ultimately landed on a geometric “P” that also resembles a mountain peak, symbolizing both the brand name and its purpose. This duality helped reinforce the brand’s connection to exploration and direction.

With the brand identity established, I applied it to various products, including a promotional billboard and a mock interface design for PackTrack’s explore page. I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to build the branding system and visuals, and Adobe XD to bring the digital experience to life.

Learning and Improving!

Fun fact: PackTrack was one of the very first design projects I ever worked on and one of my first experiences using Photoshop and Illustrator. I had so much fun creating it at the time, but when it came time to build my final portfolio, I knew I could push the work further.

Here’s a comparison between my original billboard and the updated version created 2 years apart. I’m always looking for ways to grow and refine my skills as a designer.
